B.Tech - Mechanical

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been instrumental in moulding the careers of its student and helping them to become world class professionals.The Department offers the B.Tech degree course with an intake of 60 students. The course is divided into eight semesters, each of six months duration.

Special Features

Frequent visit to industries and educational tours are an additional part of the program that gives students a wide exposure to their field. Guest lectures by both International/ National experts from Instituitons and Industries are arranged on current topics to beneficiate the students.

The Mechanical Engineering Department Laboratories are equipped with the state of the art equipment for training and research. An efficient team of highly qualified , trained and dedicated professionals have assembled to provide quality training in almost all the fields of Mechanical Engineering.

• Workshop - Fitter, Turner, Forging, Carpentry, Welding, Machine Shop, Grinding etc.
• Fluid Mechanics Lab
• Applied Thermodynamics Lab
• Material Science and testing Lab
• Strength of Material Lab
• CAD/ CAM Lab
• Mechanical Engineering Lab.

The department has well equipped workshops covering carpentry, fitting, sheet metal work and welding, catering for the first two semester students of all disciplines.

Machine shop with all types of machineries & Foundry shop catered to the students of higher semesters has been established. Laboratories in the areas of thermal engineering, hydraulic machinery and IC engines measurement & gauging, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing system lab are well equipped for students training.

Testing laboratory is equipped with the latest state-of-art testing equipment. In addition machine shop having lathe machines and other machine tools like drilling machine, milling machine has been established.

Department has regular interaction with Industries.
